Public art rendering for Isabel Barbuzza
Freelance work
2016
This was a rendering created to receive an public art grant from the University of Iowa College of Engineering. The artist received the grant. I created the computer model in Maya and rendered it with Mental Ray. The textures were developed in Substance Designer and painted on the Model using Substance Painter. After modeling, I composited the renderings with real images in Photoshop. this first rendering is a night scene. The sculpture will light up from the inside and the pavement will have a glowing pattern when built.
This is the original night render before I composited the images in photoshop.
This is a view from across the street. I alined the rendering camera up with a real photo. I used a backplate for the background while rendering. The foreground was added in photoshop. I added window reflections as well and a sun highlight on the rendered building to make it more realistic.
This is an upclose view of the sculpture. The plants were added in photoshop
Another view. the colored specks on the sculpture will be made of glass.
